9News interviewed the handyman from Wallan shortly after 77-year-old Vicki Ramadan was found dead in her Sydenham home in April.
Mr Anderson called police claiming he had discovered Ms Ramadan's body, telling officers he found the elderly woman bludgeoned to death and the back door broken down.
Police will allege there was a dispute between the handyman and Ms Ramadan shortly before her death.
