Woman dies reversing from Vic crash

A Melbourne woman is dead after she was thrown from her car as she tried to reverse at the scene of a crash with her door ajar.

Her Ford Falcon was involved in a minor collision with another car at Forest Hill on Monday afternoon and it continued driving a short distance before stopping.

The 52-year-old Croydon woman then stopped and got out of the car to look back at the crash scene, before getting back in her car and being thrown from her vehicle as she accelerated while reversing, police said.
