Victorian boy missing since August 17

A public appeal for information has failed to find a Victorian boy who has been missing for more than a week.

Riley Shanks, 14, was last seen at Traralgon in the state's east on August 17 and family members and police are worried because of his age and a medical condition.

Police launched an appeal on Friday but on Monday said the focus of the search for the teen - described as Caucasian, about 155cm tall with a thin build - was on the Latrobe Valley area which he is known to frequent.
