Two police officers injured in Melbourne hit-and-run
Two police officers have been injured in an alleged hit-and-run in Melbourne.
The officers were called to a fast food restaurant on Ballarto Road at Seaford shortly after 2.30pm today to perform a welfare check on a woman in a vehicle.
When they arrived, the driver of a Ford sedan allegedly drove at the officers, pinning one against a wall and running over the leg of the second officer.

Both officers were taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver left Ballarto Road and was followed by the Victorian Police helicopter for almost an hour where it is alleged the sedan reached speeds of up to 170km/h.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old female, ran from the car and was soon arrested.
