Gun-toting killers remain at large as the identities are revealed of four Melbourne shooting victims.

Two men were killed in the latest shootings on Monday at suburban Meadow Heights.

Ali Ali, 28, was found dead just a few streets away from slain father Deniz Hasan, 40.

Detectives later confirmed they believed the men were known to their assailants, but couldn't link the shootings to others in preceding days.

Mitat Rasimi, aged in his 50s, was found dead with gunshot wounds in a crashed car on Sunday night at Dandenong.

Rasimi is a convicted criminal and a known associate of drug lord Tony Mokbel.

The killings started on Friday when another father, reported as Ben Togiai, was fatally shot at a boxing event in Kensington. Two other men were injured in the same shooting.

Police want to speak with Brunswick brothers Abdullah El Nasher, 27, Ali El Nasher, 28 and Pascoe Vale man Mikhael Myko, 25, over the fatal attack.

A drug turf war is suspected to be behind the shooting.

Crime Command Acting Assistant Commissioner Michael Frewen told reporters there were "some degrees of commonality" between the Friday and Sunday shootings.

In all cases the parties were known to each other, there was a planned contact or meeting arranged and each of those meetings led to a "fatal escalation", he said.
