Vic unemployment rate unchanged

Victoria's unemployment rate hasn't budged and is still on par with the national average.

Seasonally adjusted figures show there were 5500 fewer jobs in June, but the Australian Bureau of Statistics labour force figures show unemployment in the state has remained at six per cent.

However, opposition jobs spokesman Craig Ondarchie says 9500 full-time jobs have been lost in the state since December despite the government promising to deliver 100,000 new full-time positions within two years.
