Vic court hears of alleged date site rapes

A man accused of raping six women he met on social networking and dating websites is due back before a Melbourne court.

Egyptian national Adel Nafady, 28, faces 44 charges including rape, assault and unlawful imprisonment over the alleged attacks between March and May last year.

He is expected to reappear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a committal hearing due to run all week.

A seventh woman broke free from Nafady as he allegedly tried to force her up to his Windsor apartment, the hearing was told on Monday.
