Vic cops warn mum after son wees in yard

A young boy has had a visit from police in Melbourne after a neighbour complained about him urinating in his front yard.

His mother said she was "shocked" when officers knocked on her door on Thursday afternoon and said a complaint had been made about her seven-year-old son urinating in their own yard.

"I asked them, `is that wrong?'" the boy's mother Jane told 3AW.

Police then allegedly told her that because he was under 10 he could not be charged with an offence.
