Vic bank robber nabbed in citizen arrest

A man claiming to have a gun held up a Victorian bank and ran off with cash before being nabbed in a citizen's arrest.

The man told staff at the bank at Wendouree he had a gun and demanded cash about 9.45am on Tuesday, getting grabbed by a member of the public soon after running off.

A 46-year-old Ballarat man is in custody and armed crime squad police will investigate.
