A Victorian couple who supply medical marijuana to the chronically ill are disappointed prosecutors have dropped most of the charges against them.

Matthew and Elizabeth Pallett were due to stand trial on charges of trafficking, possessing and cultivating cannabis after a raid on their Carrum Downs property last year, but prosecutors have now withdrawn all but a single charge of cultivating a narcotic.

Mr Pallett, who represented himself in the Victorian County Court on Tuesday, told Judge Mark Taft the couple objected to the charges being dropped, saying he and his wife had planned to call witnesses on the basis of the allegations on the original indictment.
