Two arrested over Vic hammer robbery

Two youths have been arrested after a group used hammers to smash their way into a Melbourne petrol station and rob it.

Police said three youths armed with hammers broke through the front door of the Diamond Creek BP about 4.30am on Monday and stole the cash register.

A staff member behind the counter was not injured, and police have arrested two of the three people allegedly involved.
