Timeline of Carl Williams' crimes

CARL WILLIAMS - DRUG BOSS AND MURDERER:

* 1999 - Shot in stomach by underworld figure Jason Moran.

* 2003 - Underworld figures Jason Moran, Pasquale Barbaro, Mark Mallia and Michael Marshall are killed in separate incidents, Carl later convicted of three of the murders.

* March 2004 - Lewis Moran shot dead.

* Late 2004 - Put in Barwon prison charged with conspiracy to murder and sentenced to seven years jail for drug trafficking.

* 2006 - Sentenced to 27 years for Marshall's murder.

* 2007 - Sentenced to a minimum of 35 years for the murders of Lewis Moran, Jason Moran and Mark Mallia and conspiracy to murder Mario Condello.

* Beaten to death in 2010 in prison by Matthew Johnson.
