Two more motorcyclists have died just a day after one of Victoria's top cops pleaded for drivers and riders to take care around "vulnerable" motorcyclists.

Police say a rider smashed into the back of a utility truck before hitting the side wall on the Dynon Road CityLink on-ramp in West Melbourne about 4.15pm on Wednesday.

He is the second motorcyclist to have died on Wednesday, after another man died at Seaford earlier in the day following a collision between his motorbike and a car.

The latest death shows that 11 motorcyclists were killed just in February, making it a total of 16 for the year.

Victoria's road toll now stands at 46, five more than the same time in 2015.
