A man suspected of walking down the street with a gun and pulling it on a group of teenagers has been arrested following a siege in Melbourne.

The 42-year-old surrendered early on Friday after dozens of police including the air-wing and the dog squad surrounded a house in Hoppers Crossing.

Locals posted online that the man had pulled a shotgun on a group of teenagers.

An unidentified gun was later found at the house.

The man was charged with conduct endangering person and other firearms offences.

He will face the Werribee Magistrates Court on February 15, 2016.

The siege was only a few kilometres from a police tactical operation earlier in the night, where three people were arrested over a police shooting.
