Six charged after son of former bikie found dead in Melbourne park

Police have charged six men and teenage boys following the discovery of the body of a former bikie’s son in a park in Melbourne’s west last month. 

The charges are connected to the death of Patrick Longordo, who was found dead in a park in Melbourne’s west, hours after he was allegedly kidnapped from a home on the other side of the city.

The 30-year-old was the son of former Mongols bikie Joseph Longordo and was allegedly attacked by a group of armed men who broke into a South Morang home where he was sleeping about 3am on May 15.

The group, allegedly armed with machetes, dragged him into a car outside, while others inside the home, including children, were left behind.

His body was dumped at a playground near Bruni Drive in Tarneit about 4.30am and a dark SUV was seen speeding away.

The six arrests came after authorities carried out eight search warrants this morning across Wyndham Vale, Point Cook, Mambourin, Werribee and Tarneit.

Following the search warrants, police arrested a 23-year-old Truganina man as well as four 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man from Point Cook.

The 23-year-old and four 17-year-olds were charged with murder, kidnapping, aggravated home invasion and criminal damage by fire.

All five males will face court tomorrow. 

The 18-year-old will face court tomorrow after being charged with assisting an offender and criminal damage by fire.
