Shots fired at Melbourne hotel

Police have released footage of a gunman they say fired a series of shots into a Melbourne hotel.

The suspect was walking past the Nepean Highway pub in Frankston on Wednesday night when he allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired at a door to the hotel's function room.

Police say the bullets went through the glass but a woman working in a back office at the time was not injured.

CCTV footage of the man has been released.
