Police find body, believed to be missing Melbourne father-to-be

Victorian police believe they have found the body of missing father-to-be, Talha Wahab, almost a month after he vanished.

A body was found about 11.30am in a creek near the Moomba Park Reserve.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it is the 29-year-old Fawkner man, who was reported missing on September 16.

Homicide Squad detectives have joined volunteers and police at the site and an autopsy will be carried out after the body is retrieved.

Mr Wahab was last seen by his colleagues at Oxfam, where he worked as an accountant, on September 15.

His wife, Tanzeel Memon, reported him missing the following day after he failed to return home. Ms Memon is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

His car was later found at the Moomba Park Reserve with the keys and his mobile phone missing.
