Police widen net to identify Vic woman

An image of woman whose body was found in a Melbourne car park almost a week ago has been shared across Australia in a bid to identify her.

Victoria Police on Thursday forwarded the computer-generated image of the woman found wrapped in a blanket in a Dallas car park to police across the country.

Tasmania Police shared the information with local media and Queensland Police tweeted "Our mates at @VictoriaPolice need your help to identify a deceased woman in Dallas".

Detective Inspector Stephen Dennis has said it is concerning that no one has come forward to identify her body.

The woman, aged in her 40s, had injuries.

Police say she is of Middle Eastern appearance and was wearing a brown head scarf with distinctive black beading when found.
