A pedestrian in Melbourne has been fatally hit by car.
The pedestrian, who is yet to be identified, was struck while crossing a street in Eltham at about 6.30pm last night, Victoria Police say.

The cause of the fatal crash is still unknown.
The driver of the car was not injured, and is assisting police with their enquiries.
