One week till Victorian budget handed down

In a week, the Andrews Labor government will deliver its third budget, and so far Victorians can expect lures for big business and all-night public transport on weekends.

Another $90 million will be poured into the Investment Attraction and Assistance Program on top of the $116 million already committed in last year's budget.

The program uses taxpayer funds to incentivise big business to set up shop in Victoria to create jobs.

The government has also announced $193.2 million over four years to make all-night public transport on weekends permanent and $271.55 million for the third stage of the Melbourne Park redevelopment.

Money is also being earmarked for the Maternal Child Health Service and to improve forensic mental health services.
