One critical, three injured in Vic brawl

Four men have been taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, after a brawl in regional Victoria.

A fight broke out between five men in Wangaratta early on Saturday and four of the men required hospitalisation, with one airlifted in a critical condition, police say.

A 23-year-old and a 46-year-old, both from Wangaratta, remain under police guard in hospital and are yet to be interviewed.

A 27-year-old man has been released from hospital and is currently speaking with police.

A 46-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been interviewed and released pending further inquiries.

Investigators believe all the men are known to each other.
