Multiple stab wounds in Melbourne attack

A man is in a critical condition with multiple stab wounds and head injuries after an alleged attack in an outer Melbourne suburb.

The man, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital after he was found bleeding at the corner of Balaka and Karoonda streets in Rosebud West on Saturday afternoon.

A woman, also aged in her 50s, has been arrested over the alleged attack.
