More arrests have been made over alleged violence at an anti-immigration rally in central Melbourne last month.

Police are continuing to investigate the protest on Saturday, October 19, that also drew counter demonstrators who are accused of throwing rocks, glass bottles and rotten fruit at officers.

Two police were left hospitalised after clashes with counter-protesters.

One officer suffered a broken hand, another received a laceration to the leg, police chiefs said.

On Tuesday, two men were arrested following raids at Melbourne properties.

A Port Melbourne man, 21, was charged with two counts of assaulting police and two counts of hindering police.

A 56-year-old from Kilsyth was also charged with assaulting police and hindering police.

Both men were granted bail and are scheduled to appear in court next May.

The investigation has now led to a total of three people being charged, with police continuing to seek the public's help to identify those involved.
