Man charged after woman hit and killed by truck in Melbourne's west
A man has been charged with several offences after allegedly striking and killing a woman with a truck in Melbourne's west.
The woman, aged 74, was struck by the truck on Coburns Road in Melton around 10am on January 2.
Paramedics treated the Brookside woman at the scene and took her to hospital, where she died of her injuries.

A 22-year-old man from Tarneit, alleged to have been driving the truck, was arrested and charged by police.
He has been charged with unlicensed driving, failing to stop at a red light, and dangerous driving causing death.
He has been taken into custody and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 8.
