An anti-Islam extremist accused of plotting bomb attacks in Melbourne will face court in April to appeal against his conviction for breaching bail.

Phillip Galea, 32, of Braybrook, appeared in the County Court in Melbourne via videolink on Wednesday, when he was further remanded for a one-day appeal on April 26 of his prior conviction and sentence for a bail breach.

Galea is also charged with collecting or making documents to prepare for terrorist acts between 2015-16, with police alleging he talked about bombing the headquarters of Melbourne's anarchists.
