Melbourne mum drives drunk with bub in car

A 38-year-old woman has been caught driving in Melbourne with a blood-alcohol level almost four times above the legal limit with her 11-month-old child in the car.

The woman was stopped in Box Hill on Sunday and taken to a police station where she returned a reading of 0.197 per cent, but the male passenger in her car was completely sober and held a full driver's licence, police say.

Her licence was immediately suspended and she is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.
