Melb Metro Rail not assessed yet

Victoria hasn't submitted its flagship Melbourne Metro Rail tunnel

project to Infrastructure Australia for assessment.

A Senate estimates hearing on Monday found Victoria instead submitted the $5.5 billion Western Distributor toll road to be assessed.

Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas told reporters on Tuesday he expects the Metro Rail business case to be finalised and submitted "soon".
