CRAIG MCLACHLAN'S COURT BATTLE

* McLachlan was charged in January with 16 offences including indecent assault, attempted indecent assault and common law assault.

* "Craig is innocent of these charges which will be vigorously defended," a spokesman for the actor said at the time.

* There are four alleged victims, all women, who spent five days giving evidence behind closed doors.

* Charges coincide with a run of the Rocky Horror Show, in which McLachlan performed the lead role of Dr Frank-N-Furter.

* Prosecutors have spent three weeks outlining the allegations to Melbourne Magistrate Belinda Wallington, who will decide McLachlan's guilt.

* Other witnesses included castmates, directors and producers of the Rocky Horror Show including former Hi-5 star Tim Maddren, actor Brendan Irving and Kristian Lavercombe - a UK actor who has appeared in more than 1500 performances of the musical.

* Further written submissions must be filed in court by January 31, with the matter returning on March 11 and 12.

* Magistrate Wallington will likely hand down her ruling about certain evidence on April 21.

* McLachlan's lawyers will then answer to the charges.
