Man stabbed to death in Geelong fight

A man has been stabbed to death in the regional Victorian city of Geelong in an alleged daylight attack.

Police say three men and two women were involved in a fight in the suburb of Norlane in the city’s north on Sunday afternoon.

The man died at the scene on Alkira Avenue about 12.40pm.

A woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.

Police say the rest of the group fled. It’s believed they knew each other.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
