Missing Vic man found after forest search

A 26-year-old Victorian man has been found "safe and well" after he went missing in a state forest east of Melbourne.

Nathan Dompietro was last seen in the Bunyip State Forest at 7.30am on Friday in a pale t-shirt, a blue flannelette jacket, khaki green pants and cream-coloured work boots, when police started searching the forest.

But the Gembrook man returned home about 7.45pm on Saturday.
