Man left for dead after Vic robbery

A man has been left for dead after being stabbed during a robbery in Melbourne.

The victim, an Indonesian national, and a friend were leaving a party at a house in Brighton East at 5.30am on Saturday when they were approached by a man who demanded their belongings, police say.

The man then stabbed the victim, leaving him with life-threatening injuries before running off.
