Man dies in collision with truck in Vic

A man has died after his car crossed a median strip and ploughed into a truck in regional Victoria.

Police say a car travelling towards Ballarat crossed the Western Freeway and collided with a truck in Ballan about 7am on Friday.

The driver - the car's sole occupant - died at the scene while the two men in the truck escaped uninjured.
