Man charged over Melb karaoke bashing

A fourth man has been charged over a vicious bashing which left another man unconscious at a Melbourne karaoke bar earlier this year.

The 25-year-old victim was repeatedly punched and kicked until he fell face down onto the floor during the attack at a bar in Melbourne's CBD on January 11.

Several men then continued to punch the unconscious victim, and kick him in the head, before turning on his 23-year-old girlfriend who tried to intervene.

Police believe the attack was triggered by something the man said.

They arrested Minzhong Chen, 27, on Thursday and charged him with seven offences including two counts of intentionally causing injury.

Two men and a woman have already been charged over the incident.
