Man arrested after allegedly fleeing scene of fatal car crash in regional Victoria
A man has been arrested after he allegedly fled the scene of a fatal car crash in regional Victoria.
Police say a head-to-head collision occurred on the South Gippsland Highway in Jeetho just before 4.30pm.
The driver of one of the cars, a 25-year-old Hampton Park man, allegedly fled the scene before being arrested nearby.
He is now assisting police with their enquiries.

The collision occurred on the South Gippsland Highway in Jeetho just before 4.30pm. Nine
Detectives say they will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision including reports of an erratic driver on the South Gippsland Highway just prior to the collision.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision died at the scene.
