Learner rider caught speeding in Victoria

A learner motorcycle rider has had his bike confiscated in Victoria for allegedly speeding at more than 50km/h above the limit.

Police say they clocked the bike at 137km/h in an 80km/h zone in Geelong on Thursday afternoon.

The rider, 37, immediately had his motorcycle impounded and is expected to be charged on summons with speeding and other traffic-related offences.
