Hoon motorcyclist crashes in front of laughing crowd

A hoon motorcyclist has crashed off a bike in front of jeering Victorian diners after trying to do a burnout.

People could be heard laughing off camera on Tuesday as the rider over revved the engine, leaving a trails of white smoke before losing their balance and falling onto Main Street in Bacchus Marsh.

A patron could be seen running into the cloud of smoke to help the rider who eventually got back on the bike and finished the burnout.

Police told Fairfax Media they believed the rider injured their leg during the crash.

"This is dangerous behaviour in an area where there are pedestrians,” Acting Sergeant Watson said.

"We are sending members down to the pubs to talk to witnesses."
