Hapless thieves bungle Vic ram-raid

Bumbling would-be thieves spent three-and-a-half minutes trying to line up their ute in a failed ram-raid attempt on a Melbourne supermarket.

The trio were caught on camera lining up their ute with the Carlton North building's front door before reversing it into the glass windows around 4.30am on July 17.

After minutes of fumbling with a chain they placed around an ATM inside the store, they eventually gave up and left empty-handed.
