Gun found after Vic ramming suspect arrest

A man alleged to have smashed a stolen car into three vehicles before ramming a police van while fleeing authorities has been arrested in Melbourne with officers finding a large firearm found in his bag.

Victoria Police say the 25-year-old man from Doncaster crashed into four vehicles, including the police an, on a Coburg North street shortly before 5am on Friday.

He was later stopped by police in Reservoir and arrested with police finding the gun in his bag.
