Gun, drugs found in Melb raid

A handgun, silencer and drugs have been found in a police raid on a Melbourne home.

Khai Nguyen, 37, from South Melbourne faced an out-of-sessions hearing on Tuesday night charged with trafficking and possessing a commercial quantity of drugs, and counts of possessing equipment for trafficking, a handgun, a silencer and the proceeds of crime.

He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A 26-year-old woman, Han Nguyen, was also charged and remanded on drug-related offences.
