One dead, another fighting for life after Geelong crash

One person is dead, and another is fighting for life after two cars collided in Geelong's north this morning.

The accident occurred at Lovely Banks Road in Lovely Banks just after 10am, with the occupants of two of the cars severely injured.

The driver, a male who hasn't been identified, was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead.

His female passenger was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The driver and passengers in the other car were also taken to hospital for treatment.

It is not known the severity of their injuries, or who was driving the car.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
