Fed govt against pill testing at festivals

The federal government does not think pill testing of illicit drugs is a good idea after the ACT government approved a trial at Canberra's Spilt Milk music festival in an Australian first.

"It's a matter for the ACT, but it's not a policy that we support," Health Minister Greg Hunt told reporters in Melbourne on Sunday.

"The message is very clear: there is no safe level of ice. There is no safe level of ecstasy, or caps, or MDMA."
