EW Link housing to be finalised in weeks

Property owners and renters forced out of their homes to make way for the now scrapped East West Link project will have their housing finalised by the end of the month.

Premier Daniel Andrews says a number of people had decided to return to the more than 100 homes and businesses that were compulsorily acquired, although some had decided to stay away.

Once it's established who will stay or go, the government will make announcements about social housing and selling remaining properties to replenish government coffers, Mr Andrews said.
