Elderly man threatened at gunpoint

An elderly man was threatened at gunpoint during an attempted carjacking in Melbourne.

Police say a man pointed a black handgun at the 70-year-old, who lay down in his van for protection until the carjacker fled in his own car.

Police on Wednesday released a computer-generated image of the man wanted over the incident at Lalor on October 21.
