Man dead after car smashes through school fence in Brighton East, Melbourne

A man has died after a car smashed through a fence at a school in Brighton East, Melbourne.

Police have been told the man was struck at the school off Ratho Avenue about 4:30pm.

Paramedics attended and treated the pedestrian who died at the scene.

The woman who was driving the car at the time is assisting police.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
