Toy gun sparks Melbourne school alarm

A 15-year-old has been arrested for taking a toy gun to a Melbourne school.

Police were called to the Beaconsfield school, southeast of the city, after it activated its emergency management plan sparked by the firearm scare on Wednesday.

Officers arrested the boy for possession of an imitation firearm. He is being questioned.

There is no threat to the community.
