Citizen's arrest of Melbourne thief

An alleged thief seen pilfering from cars in Melbourne has been tackled to the ground by two men who conducted a citizen's arrest.

A man spotted the 18-year-old thief walking away from a car parked in his Meadow Heights driveway in the early hours of Thursday.

The victim called out to a friend and the pair chased the alleged thief and held him until police arrived, took him into custody and charged him with numerous counts of theft.
