Car industry closure causes flow-on effect
AAP
The end of car manufacturing in Victoria seems to be having a flow-on effect, with adhesive company Bostik cutting jobs.
Bostik announced 13 redundancies on Friday and more losses are expected, the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union says.
The union says Bostik's manufacturing plant in Thomastown is seeing orders for adhesive products from Ford, Holden and Toyota slow while the car companies prepare to shut up shop.
