Car crashes into Melbourne home

A car has smashed through a fence, hit a parked car and then crashed into a house in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

Paramedics were driving along Bell Street in Preston, when they saw the crash at 9.30pm on Monday, Ambulance Victoria spokesman Paul Bentley said.

Five residents in the house were uninjured, as well as the couple, aged in their 20s, who were in the car.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade and a Darebin Council building surveyor also attended the incident.
