Bourke St fund scammers a 'disgrace'

Scammers trying to get people to donate to fake funds for Bourke Street massacre victims are "disgraceful", Victoria's Consumer Affairs Minister says.

People have been reminded to go to the official Victoria government website to donate, after reports that scammers had called people to ask for money.

"Do not give your personal details, bank details or credit card details to anyone who calls asking for donations to the Bourke Street Fund - they are scammers," Consumer Affairs Minister Marlene Kairouz said in a statement on Wednesday.
