Man arrested after body found in rural Victoria

A man has been arrested after another man's body was found in Long Gully, country Victoria, last night.

The 50-year-old's body was found at a property on Battery Street in Long Gully about 7pm yesterday.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at a Kangaroo Flat home this afternoon over the death.

He is in custody and is being questioned, Victoria Police said.

Authorities are treating the death as suspicious.
